Daikatana – Something worth trying!

Having no computer for the longest time i wasn’t annoyed by daikatana always being delayed. Was it four years? Anyway what a great game. Fantastic story line as you hiro the main character must find the stolen daikatana that promotes time travel to change the past as you were the grandson of the the creator of this mighty sword. Great. The game is huge as it spans 4 time periods so it’s as if your playing 4 games. Well worth your time. Many have disliked but you should give this a try as this is what i think is the best first person shooter created and i was so pleased with the game. The multiplayer is great too. Up to 16 players a level. The levels are great going from a village in the wintertime to temples high in the sky. Great weapons and it’s not a mad scramble for the best weapon as you can kill people with any weapon there even if he has the best weapon it’s not impossible to kill them. There are different scenarios like just a death match to capture the flag. Very well thought out modes. This is a great game and well worth the wait.

Great gameplay. Responsive controls never sluggish. A plus is that the control scheme is fully customizable on your keyboard and mouse and if you hate keyboards this game is controller compatible for those who don’t like using two things at once. Over 25 weapons and 50+ enemies each unique every enemy attacking differently and each weapon is different and original like a c4 proximity launcher or a pot you through that burns around in a fairly wide radius not huge (it’s a pot afterall). Another refreshing element is that when you rescue your buddies a girl and a big guy by the name of Superfly they help you on your journey. I don’t know about you but it’s great to have buddies by your side to help you out. You always are in suspense as you never no what to expect its great and keeps you involved. No problems in this section next…..

Graphics… What can i say they’re beautiful comparable to Super Mario Run Cheats. Detailed worlds detailed characters and nice textures. Frame rate is consistent although levels loads come weird times to go into the next little part. I have a very average graphic card that came with the computer and at 640 by 480 the graphics are very nice buildings are crisply designed and you rarely would see perhaps dots of graphic seams going together very well done. animations are suberb birds fly in realistic patterns and actual machines or humans walk and act realistically. At the bottom of the screen ti shows your health and ammo left while having a picture of your guys face as you see it get more cut up as you go along and on the right it shows the pictures of the weapons you contain. Realistic explosions and deaths make this a great game. If you get a nice good graphic card the graphics will just absolutely be stunning in hi-res mode.
Just fantastic.

Sound is well it’s another great part of the game. First the music. Plenty of great songs mp3 style very well done and sound fine. There is plenty of speech at least 8 hours of speech very clear and crisp so you always understand what the guy is saying without it sounding dull or boring. When you die there are realistic death screams and explosions are very nice sounding. If you keep an ear out your able to hear the footsteps of someone snaling up on you of fighting around the corner. Just a great game. Also when using pistols and chinguns you can hear the bullet casings hit the ground and bounce along. Very realistic and you don’t have to strain your ears to hear it because the sound is very clear in this game. Great overall sound to add to an already suburb videogame. I beleive this game is a real winner. Thank you Romero for creating such a fantastic game.
